The Department of Home Affairs doesn't charge sponsors any fees for sponsoring applicants. However, sponsors must agree to financially support the applicant for their first 2 years in Australia. As of July 1, 2023, the subclass 804 Aged Parent visa application fee is $4,990 for the first instalment, payable upon lodgement. The second instalment is currently $2,065, to be paid once the Department of Home Affairs requests it. Payment methods include debit/credit card, PayPal, UnionPay, and BPAY.
